The County Solicitor is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and serves as the official legal adviser and attorney for the County of Washington. The Solicitor reviews contracts and ordinances for the county and assesses the legal needs for all county government functions. The Solicitor is required to attend meetings concerning the Commissioners in order to advise them on governmental laws.
